BIOGRAPHY
Chi-Kuan Kao高積冠 started to learn Cheng Man-Ching 郑曼青 simplified Yang style Tai Chi chuan in 1986, Yang style Tai Chi chuan in 1989, and Chen style Tai Chi chuan in 1992. In 1993, he became the disciple of Master Liu, Lan-Jun 刘兰君who was the disciple of Grandmaster Feng, Zhi-Chiang 冯志强 who was the disciple of Grand Master Chen Fa-Ke陳發科. Chi-Kuan started to learn Chen style small frame Tai Chi Chuan in 2001 from master Wang, Chin-Long (王清龍 ) who learned from Grand Master Wang, Jin-Lang (王晉讓 ) and his disciple). Chi-Kuan started to attend Grand Master Chen Xiaowang陈小旺’s annual workshop in Michigan and Chicago from 2002 till 2011. He also started to attend Grand Master Chen Xiaoxing陈小星’s annual workshop in Chicago and as his interpreter during the workshop since 2008 till 2018. In 2011, he started to learn Cheng, Man-Ching 郑曼青 style push-hands and corrected the form with Carol Yamasaki who is the student of Prof. Cheng, Man-Ching 郑曼青 who is the disciple of Grand Master Yang Cheng-Fu杨澄甫. He also attended 郑曼青’s senior student Ben Lo (罗邦桢)’s workshops in 2011 and 2012. Chi-Kuan started to learn He style Tai Chi from master Qin, Xupu in 2015.
Chi-Kuan also was one of the two interpreters for Chen, Wu(2), Wu(3), Sun, and He style Tai Chi Grandmasters who taught in the 2014 International Tai Chi Chuan Symposium on Health, Education and Cultural Exchange held in Louisville, Kentucky, USA.
